Planned Service Interruptions

May 19: SOLAR Student Administration 

Start Time: Saturday, 12:01 a.m.

End Time: 4:00 a.m.

The Chancellor’s Office has released an emergency patch to fix an issue in SOLAR Student Administration that is preventing the proper awarding of financial aid for the summer session. In order to apply this emergency patch, SOLAR Student Administration will be unavailable from Saturday, May 19 starting at 12:01 a.m. until Saturday at 4:00 a.m.

Please note that faculty will be unable to enter grades during this four hour maintenance period. 

This interruption will impact the following key services frequently accessed by CSUN students, faculty, and staff:

  • Grade Entry
  • Faculty Center
  • View Grades
  • Student Center 
  • Enroll in Classes 
  • Class Rosters 
  • My Checklist 
  • Payments 
  • Degree Progress Reports 
  • Class Search 

During this planned service interruption, users will continue to be able to access the myNorthridge portal, Canvas, email and other IT services. If you have any questions, please contact the IT Help Center.


May 20: Employee Learning & Training (Skillport)

Start Time: Sunday, 10:00 a.m.

End Time: 1:00 p.m.

Due to scheduled maintenance, access to Employee Learning & Training (Skillport) will be unavailable.


May 22: Employee Learning & Training (Skillport)

Start Time: Tuesday, 10:00 p.m.

End Time: 11:00 p.m.

Due to scheduled maintenance, access to Employee Learning & Training (Skillport) will be unavailable. 


May 23: Common Financial System (CFS)

Start Time: Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.

End Time: 10:00 p.m.

Due to scheduled maintenance, access to the Common Financial System will be unavailable.


May 27: SOLAR Student, HR & Common Finance System 

Start Time: Sunday, 12;01 a.m.

End Time: 6:00 a.m.

Several computer systems managed by the CSU Chancellor’s Office will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on Sunday, May 27th from 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

During this time, access to CSUN’s SOLAR Student, HR & Common Finance System will be unavailable. This includes the following services frequently accessed by CSUN students, faculty, and staff:

  • Student Center 
  • Enroll in Classes 
  • View Grades
  • Grade Rosters
  • Class Rosters 
  • My Checklist 
  • Payments 
  • Degree Progress Reports 
  • Class Search 
  • HR Self Service Options 
  • Time & Labor and Absence Management
